We are proud to be More Than Just Football and while football is the tool we use our goal ism to develop
- the Fundamental of Movement (balance, agility & coordination)
- Fundamental Movement skills ( running, hopping, skipping, jumping)
- Social skills such as listening, sharing, taking turns
- Early Learning concepts like numbers, colours, body parts
We have 4 different age groups to ensure children participate with their peers in and around the same development level.
Our Little Kicks program is suitable for children aged 18 months to 2.5. It is a parent toddler program and active parental participation is required. This ensures your child gets the very best out of the sessions.
Learning to learn is the goal at this level so learning to listen, learning to follow instructions and our engaging fun games facilitate this.
Our Junior Kickers classes are for 2.5 to 3.5 year olds. Children are starting to get more independent at this stage. Parents will see them participating more by themselves however many will still like to have their parents close to them at the magic wall. Play, Practice, Understand is the learning outcome at this level.
The next stage in the program is the Mighty Kickers suitable for 3.5 to 5 year olds. Most children participate independently in these classes with parents encouraged to support from the sidelines. Our Play, Practice, Understand is further developed in this stage.
The Mega Kickers program brings together all the learning outcomes from the previous levels. There is a big step up with the classes relying less on the play orientated structure of the earlier stages and with a 20 minute match at the end of each session it's preparing children to move onto football academies and continue their football journey
Throughout all stages our core philosophy of Play not Push is embodied. We believe children should be gently encouraged to participate and allowed to watch if they are unsure. We hope that by seeing the other children in the class participating they will be spurred on to join in the fun.
