Little & Bright Stars is a 45-minute music and movement class for babies, wobblers, and toddlers. Using child-friendly music, movement-based songs, props, and imaginative play, children explore rhythm, movement, and their senses in a warm, playful environment.
Classes support early development including language, motor skills, coordination, creativity, confidence, and social interaction, while also strengthening the bond between child and carer. Sessions are relaxed and inclusive, with children encouraged to join in at their own pace.
What to bring:
A mat to sit on (optional) and a blanket or towel for babies.
Location:
Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane, Naas
Parents and carers stay with their child. All are welcome!
What are Music & Movement classes?
These classes are playful, sensory-rich sessions designed to support early development through song, movement, rhythm, and connection. Using familiar songs, gentle actions, props, and free movement, children explore music in a way that feels joyful and natural.
What age are the classes suitable for?
Classes are suitable for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 0–4 years. Activities are open-ended and adaptable, allowing each child to engage at their own developmental stage.
Do parents or carers stay with their child?
Yes. These are parent-and-child classes, with adults actively involved alongside their child, supporting connection, confidence, and shared enjoyment.
What skills does my child develop?
Music & Movement supports physical coordination, balance, language development, listening skills, social interaction, and emotional regulation. It also nurtures confidence and a love of music and movement from an early age.
Does my child need to participate the whole time?
Not at all. Children are welcome to observe, move freely, or join in when they feel ready. There is no pressure to perform or take part in a specific way.
What should we bring?
Comfortable clothing for both adult and child is ideal.Non-slip socks are recommended. All props and resources are provided.
Who leads the class?
Classes are led by Katie, an experienced early years educator with a background in children’s yoga, music, and movement, creating a warm, inclusive space for both children and carers.
